PAN (Permanent Account Number) card having a 10 digit unique number issued by Income Tax Dept. of India,

Mostly issued to any individual to perform financial transaction or a tax payer.

Income tax dept. launched website to ease the process of applying, updating and checking the status of PAN.

Know you PAN

Before applying for PAN, navigate to Know your PAN to make sure you have not applied and issues before.

Apply PAN card online

To apply PAN card first time for [Non]Indian citizen or to update PAN card details, navigate to User register site and fill all details as needed and submit. [Form 49A]

Fees

For applying new or updating existing PAN, you need to pay applicable fees by credit/debit card, net banking or DD

After Submit

Even you are applying online, you still need to send the ack. and passport size photo attached to specified address, more details are as mentioned below

Track PAN application status

By using the 15 digit acknowledgement number, after 3 days of application you can track the status by
